Purim Purim
is one of the most joyous and fun holidays on the Jewish calendar.
During Purim, it is commanded to eat, drink, be merry, and to send out
gifts of food to everybody, especially your furry friends! Pick up a jar
of our Deli Doggie Treats for that special one with a wet nose, or a bag
of our famous Freeze-Dried Beef Patties for that special one that purrs
happily on your lap.
Passover Probably
the most significant observance related to Passover involves the removal of
chametz. Chametz includes anything
made from wheat, rye, barley, oats and spelt.
Not only is it forbidden to eat chametz during Pesach; but it is also
forbidden to derive benefit from it by feeding it to pets!
KosherPets' KfP products will keep you in the clear! Rosh
Hashanah Rosh
Hashanah is commonly known as the Jewish New Year - a time to begin
introspection, looking back at the mistakes of the past year and planning the
changes to make in the new year. At
KosherPets, we believe that adopting a healthy kosher diet is a resolution that
all pets should make on Rosh Hashanah! Hanukkah Hanukkah,
also known as the festival of lights, is an eight day celebration.
It is is probably one of the best known Jewish holidays because of its
proximity to Christmas. Make sure
to include doggie and kitty to that gift list!
Hanukkah is also time to stock up on KosherPets' time-limited Hanukkah
Doggie Treats!
Your
beloved dog can choose from our Freeze-Dried Beef Patties, our Chopped
Liver Dinner (slow-simmered canned dinner). For kitty, our Freeze-Dried Beef Patties
are sure to please the finickiest canine!
Why
even bother with a Kosher pet food?
Until
the inception of KosherPets, Jews around the world were perplexed by what to
feed the family pet during Passover. The Talmud states that not only is it
forbidden for a Jew to eat chametz on Passover, but it is also forbidden to own
chametz or to have any benefit from it - and feeding your pet is regarded as
"deriving benefit." Further more, most pet foods are not
acceptable year round, since they contain a mixture of meat and milk!
Why
else??
Because
our endorsement means it's better pet food!
Many
conscientious and caring pet owners choose our products because our Kosher
endorsement gives them an added measure of
assurance. There is another pair of
eyes watching the production - trained to look for signs of uncleanliness
USDA inspectors routinely overlook!
Indeed,
Kosher IS better. Clean,
healthy, and fit are the common synonyms for "kosher".
Focus
groups have shown that 85% of US consumers do believe that kosher is
better and healthier.
Because
Kosher Meat Products Contain NO Milk!
Kosher
standards prohibit eating scavengers and mixing meat and dairy products. Most adult dogs and
cats do not produce the enzyme “lactase” needed to digest the lactose
in milk, which results in pets suffering from diarrhea
and/or flatulence when fed dairy products.
Additionally, many domesticated pets are allergic to dairy products
derived from another species than their own.
Because
Kosher for Passover Means No Grains!
In
the US, as many as 20% of cats and dogs are believed to suffer from food
allergies. Our Passover products contain none of the commonly known grain allergens, and are a
100% completely balanced diet for all life stages.
Our
Passover products are guaranteed to contain no wheat,
barley, rye, oats, spelt or their derivatives.
